Schedule Your Tweets Ahead of Time

Twitter is fun – but I realize that not everyone has time to sit at their computers or fiddle with phones to send out tweets periodically throughout the day.

If you handle your Region’s Twitter feed and find yourself forgetting or not having time to tweet, here’s a simple solution: schedule your tweets ahead of time! Buffer is a free and easy-to-use app that will save and send your tweets whenever you want.

The screenshot above shows their Twitter scheduling tool (they also help with scheduling Facebook posts). You can create your posting schedule ahead of time and once you schedule a tweet, Buffer will send that tweet out at the next scheduled time.

For example, if you have a registration event coming up and you want to send out a few tweets a day reminding parents of the big day, set your posting schedule once in the morning, afternoon and evening. Then, craft and save three tweets, and Buffer will send them out at the times designated.

You can schedule tweets an hour, a day or a week ahead of time.

Note: be sure to double check the time zone setting!

Do you schedule your tweets ahead of time? If so, what apps do you use?
