Do You Have a 5-Star Region?
Facebook is rolling out another fun new feature for its business pages: ratings! Much like the popular ratings-driven site Yelp, Facebook ratings allows visitors to rate your company with a star rating, from 1 to 5 (see example below).
How do you activate this feature? Simply put in your Region’s address information under Page Info and check the provided box, and that will allow visitors to your Facebook page to rate you. Users can also leave comments with their ratings and “check-in” to your Region, which is a way of sharing with their friends that they were on your fields, participating in an game/event.
It’s important to know that once this feature is turned on, Page administrators will not be able to edit/change reviews left by others. If there are ratings or comments that you deem inappropriate, the only way to remove them from your page is to deactivate the feature.
Deactivate the ratings feature by going to Page Info and your address information and un-check the box that says “Show this map on your Page and enable check-ins.”
Facebook ratings can be a great way for your Region to showcase how many happy families, volunteers and players are actively involved in your Region. I would recommend trying it out for a week or two, and if you find that it’s a successful tool, roll with it!
